Swamp Rabbits Release Promotional Schedule

GREENVILLE, S.C. — The Greenville Swamp Rabbits are proud to announce the promotional schedule for the 2018–19 season. The following games will feature unforgettable events or great giveaways, including the return of some classic nights.

BIG 6

• Opening Night — Friday, October 12 vs. Toledo Walleye (7:00 p.m.) Hockey is back in Greenville! Join us as we try to #CreateHistory and break the record for attendance to an ECHL home opener, set by the Greenville Grrrowl of over 14,000 in 1998. Join us for a free Fan Fest before the game, and take in the beginning of the journey for the organization’s first Kelly Cup championship.
• Heroes Night — Saturday, November 17 vs. Jacksonville Icemen (7:00 p.m.) Celebrate the contributions of our armed forces, veterans, and first responders in the Upstate. The Swamp Rabbits will wear specialty jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game, with proceeds going to charity.
• Teddy Bear Toss Night — Friday, December 14 vs. Florida Everblades (7:30 p.m.) Help us help families in need throughout the Upstate this holiday season! Bring a stuffed animal (or multiple!), and when the Swamp Rabbits score their first goal, let ‘em fly! All toys will be donated to Toys for Tots. Plus, Santa will make his annual pre-Christmas visit to The Well on this night!
• Stick It to Cancer — Friday, January 18 vs. Atlanta Gladiators (7:00 p.m.) Join us as we help to find a cure for cancer. On this night, we will raise funds with a specialty jersey auction after the game, and a portion of the proceeds from chuck-a-puck and ticket sales will go towards cancer foundations in the Upstate. We will also have our annual luminary ceremony in the stands to pay tribute to those who fight, or have fought the battle against cancer.
• Pucks N’ Paws — Saturday, February 2 vs. Florida Everblades (7:00 p.m.) Grab your ticket and bring your favorite furry friend out to The Well to watch the game with you, absolutely free! You won’t want to miss the Dog Derby, an on-ice race to find the fastest dog in the Upstate. Don’t have a best friend to bring? Adoption agencies will be on site to find your new canine companion.
• Fan Appreciation Night — Friday, March 29 vs. Orlando Solar Bears (7:00 p.m.) On this night, we celebrate you, the fans! Hundreds of prizes will be given out to our great fans as we thank you for your support throughout the season.

PROMOTIONAL NIGHTS 

• Soccer Night — Saturday, October 27 vs. Atlanta Gladiators (7:00 p.m.) You voted, and you chose soccer to be the theme on this night! We will host an intermission soccer game on ice.
• Kids Free Day/Postgame Skate — Sunday, October 28 vs. Jacksonville Icemen (3:00 p.m.) Make this a Sunday with the family! All kids 12 and under get in absolutely free, plus, skate with your favorite Swamp Rabbits players after the game. Bring your own skates, or rent a pair for $3.
• 864 Night — Friday, November 2 vs. Orlando Solar Bears (7:00 p.m.) On this night, we celebrate the Upstate and its ever-recognizable area code! Get tickets for $8, select items in the Hop Shop will be $6, and select food and beverage items will be $4. Get it? 864.
• Into the Wild Night, presented by the Greenville Zoo — Saturday, November 3 vs. Orlando Solar Bears (7:00 p.m.) We’re partnering with the Greenville Zoo to bring out a whole host of animals to The Well! Also, for the kids, a balloon artist and face painter will be on site. A portion of the chuck-a-puck and ticket sales will benefit the Greenville Zoo Foundation.
• Business Power Play — Thursday, November 15 vs. Norfolk Admirals (7:00 p.m.) Attention local businesses! It’s your chance to come out and network with businesses throughout the Upstate. Be sure to check out the Business Power Play Package. More details TBD.
• Postgame Skate — Sunday, November 18 vs. Wheeling Nailers (3:00 p.m.) Skate with your favorite Swamp Rabbits following the conclusion of the game! Bring your own skates, or rent a pair for $3.
• Sing for Santa — Saturday, December 1 vs. Atlanta Gladiators (7:00 p.m.) Help us bring the holiday cheer in full force as we invite elementary and middle school choirs to sing carols during the intermissions.
• Ugly Sweater Night — Friday, December 21 vs. South Carolina Stingrays (7:00 p.m.) Wear your ugliest holiday sweater to the game, and take part in our Ugliest Sweater Contest, with a chance to win a prize. Plus, if you’re wearing your ugliest holiday sweater, get discounted tickets at the box office!
• Star Wars Night — Saturday, December 29 vs. Florida Everblades (7:00 p.m.) Almost a year to the day before the release of the highly-anticipated chapter of the Star Wars saga, Episode 9, we celebrate the galaxy far, far away with the 501st Legion, and all of your other favorite Star Wars characters!
• Nickelodeon Night/Scout Night — Saturday, January 5 vs. Worcester Railers (7:00 p.m.) You voted, and you chose the hit show Rocket Power to theme our first-ever Nickelodeon night! Catch all of the radical action and celebrate mondo amounts of fun with a Rocket Power flair. If you miss out, that’s bogus. Plus, join us for a special jersey auction. Woogity woogity!
• Autism Awareness Day — Sunday, January 6 vs. Worcester Railers (3:00 p.m.) On this day, we support those on the autism spectrum by creating a low-key, safe atmosphere throughout the game. A portion of ticket sales and chuck-a-puck sales will benefit local autism-related causes in the Upstate.
• Manufacturing Night — Friday, January 25 vs. Norfolk Admirals (7:00 p.m.) On this night, we highlight opportunities in manufacturing in the Greenville area. We have invited BMW, Michelin, and other manufacturers in the area and will showcase their opportunities in an expo style event.
• Stomper’s Birthday — Sunday, January 27 vs. South Carolina Stingrays (3:00 p.m.) Celebrate Stomper’s 3rd birthday with a party! Stomper’s best friends, including Cool Ray from the Stingrays, will be here to help put on the best party in the Upstate! Stomper and Cool Ray will serve as captains for the broom ball game in the first intermission.
• Pirates and Princesses Night — Friday, February 1 vs. Orlando Solar Bears (7:00 p.m.) Calling all pirates and princesses! Make sure you dress the part, and take part in our annual scavenger hunt. There will be prizes!
• Marvel Night — Sunday, February 17 vs. Newfoundland Growlers (3:00 p.m.) Travel to the world of superheroes! Join us for a specialty jersey auction, which will be conducted online through the ECHL’s website.
• Business Power Play/Arts Night — Thursday, February 28 vs. South Carolina Stingrays (7:00 p.m.) Attention local businesses! It’s your chance to come out and network with businesses throughout the Upstate. Be sure to check out the Business Power Play Package. Details TBD. We will also celebrate the arts in Greenville on this night.
• College Night — Saturday, March 2 vs. Atlanta Gladiators (7:00 p.m.) Prior to our game, the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Clemson Tigers rivalry will be reignited—on ice. Catch the club hockey squads in the Battle of the Palmetto State.
• St. Patrick’s Day Game — Sunday, March 17 vs. Jacksonville Icemen (3:00 p.m.) Go green with us! We will be wearing green, and we encourage you to do the same! Plus, there will be green beer on tap. Our green jerseys will be auctioned off after the game.
• Golf for Greenville, presented by Fluor — Saturday, March 23 vs. South Carolina Stingrays (7:00 p.m.) We’re inviting golf courses from throughout the area to help us put on golf-themed challenges throughout the game, and throughout the concourse. Plus, we will be wearing golf-themed jerseys, with postgame auction proceeds benefitting the Golf for Greenville event on May 6, 2019.
• Postgame Skate — Sunday, March 31 vs. Orlando Solar Bears (3:00 p.m.) Skate with your favorite Swamp Rabbits following the conclusion of the game! Bring your own skates, or rent a pair for $3.
