Greenville, SC – The Greenville Swamp Rabbits, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack, were very active in the Greenville community and surrounding areas during the month of June. With Summer 2017 in full swing, the Swamp Rabbits staff have begun plans for the 2017-2018 season, while having a large presence at numerous events in The Upstate.
The Swamp Rabbits staff got a taste for sweet competition this month with the Krispy Kreme Doughnut Dash. In honor of National Doughnut Day, the Salvation Army hosted competitions at several Krispy Kreme locations in Greenville and invited local businesses, law enforcement, social services and more to participate. Competitors raced to place a dozen doughnuts in a box and were judged based on their neatness, time and condition of the sweets after packaging. They were then challenged to stack the tallest doughnut tower in less than a minute and received a combined score from the two events. Though the Swamp Rabbits team did not take home the Doughnut Dash title, they did get to bring some treats back to the office in honor of the Salvation Army’s 79th National Doughnut Day.
