Wednesday | November 15th, 2017 – 10:30am
Don’t miss this opportunity to join us for our second annual Middle School STEM Day game on Wednesday, November 15, 2017! Grades 5th-8th are welcome to the game with no maximum number of students per school. We have already taken several teacher and schools requests so don’t miss this fantastic educational experience!
The cost will only be $8 for each student while chaperones, teachers, and bus drivers are going to receive FREE admission. We do ask though that the student-to-chaperone ratio remain around 10:1.
For more info contact James Kalinowski at 864-250-4803 or fill out the form below.
A box lunch package will be available for an additional cost, but most schools have chosen to bring their own bag lunches from school which is perfectly fine too.
Doors will open at 9:00am with activities and demonstrations from Roper Mountain Science Center, Maker Pipe, Youth Aviators, Ace Mentor, and WISE (Women in Science/Engineering). These will be available until approximately 12:00pm, if students would like to revisit during intermissions.
The students will have from 9:00am-10:25am to explore all the stations on the concourse and learn from these great educational partners. 10:30am is when the puck will drop to start the game. During timeouts and intermissions there will be several educational promotions and videos including an anti-bullying segment, science videos from Roper Mountain and much more. Our games are usually two and a half hours, so the game will conclude around 1:00pm.
We are also excited to announce a partnership with EverFi Future Goals Hockey Scholar Program! All schools coming out to Middle School STEM Day have the opportunity to access the program for their students to complete prior to the game with the help from players, and staff.
